It prepares you to draw up the technical documentation for construction projects, both new construction and rehabilitation and restoration, to carry out site revisions and manage control and execution, respecting current regulations and the established conditions of quality, safety and the environment. The La Salle Gràcia Higher Degree in Building Projects training cycle prepares you to work in the field of architecture and construction with specialized training in building design, construction planning and the use of technologies applied to the sector. Upon completion of your studies, you will obtain the official qualification as a senior technician in building projects, recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.

This FP program in architecture allows our students to develop skills to work on building projects, both new construction and rehabilitation and restoration, to rethink work and manage the control and execution of work, respecting current regulations and the established conditions of quality, safety and the environment.

In addition to professional training for incorporation into the world of work, this program also allows you to continue your training and access university degrees such as Architecture or Building Engineering.

With the qualification obtained in the CFGS Building Projects Training Cycle, you can work in an architect’s office, in an engineering firm, in consultancies, developers, real estate agents, construction companies, in the public administration or set up your own business. The higher degree in Building Projects allows you to access different certifications and professional cards linked to the building and civil engineering sector, such as the Construction Professional Card (TPC) which certifies professional qualifications to work in the construction sector and includes areas such as safety and occupational risk prevention.

During the course you will learn the technical knowledge necessary to develop professionally and, in addition to the TPC card, there are other professional certifications that accredit specific skills related to specific areas of the building and civil works sector, such as, for example:

• Certificates in the area of ​​projects and technical documentation: representation of building projects, control of execution of building works
• Certificates in the area of ​​energy efficiency: energy efficiency of buildings, energy rehabilitation of buildings
• Certificates in the area of ​​execution of works: organization and control of construction works, work redesigns
• Certificates in the area of ​​safety and prevention: prevention of occupational risks in construction
• Certificates in technical tools applied to construction: delineation and computer-aided design (CAD), BIM modeling for construction

Professional certifications and cards are tools that officially accredit your professional qualification and specialization before entities and companies, especially in projects and works that require formal accreditation of professional skills.

The title of Senior Technician in Building Projects also allows you to continue your studies. You will be able to access university or other higher degrees and validate ECTS credits between higher cycles and university degrees in the subjects you have studied and passed.

The practical training and the Learning by Doing methodology are completed with professional internships in companies, studies and entities linked to the construction sector. As a student, you will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in real work contexts, participating in processes related to the development of architectural projects, graphic representation, technical documentation and monitoring of works.

Thanks to La Salle’s collaboration agreements with architecture studies, engineering firms, technical offices and other professionals in the sector, our students can complete their training in work centers and get to know the day-to-day life of a technician or senior technician in construction projects. During the internships, they participate in tasks of delineation, drawing up plans, BIM modeling, measurements, budgets, project documentation and technical support to construction teams or technical offices.

These internships allow you to put into practice everything you have learned during the cycle, acquire professional experience in the field of construction and establish the first links with companies and professionals in the sector.

Once you have the higher degree in CGFS Building Projects you can:

• Continue studies at the La Salle University of Architecture.
• Do another training cycle (with validations).
• Create or work for a company (high employment).

The VET program in architecture at La Salle Gràcia in Barcelona combines theoretical and practical training through the Learning by Doing educational model that allows you to acquire design skills, graphic representation, basic structural calculation, construction management and control of construction processes during your training. Students work with tools applied to architecture that integrate technological innovation, sustainability and the application of construction regulations and learn to interpret plans, prepare technical documentation and coordinate the different agents involved in a project.

Students in the higher degree in building projects have the opportunity to participate in real practical projects in the sector and apply the knowledge acquired during the course in real situations. The Dual Intensive VET modality reinforces this practical dimension of the degree, since it allows you to do up to 50% of the total duration of the course as professional internships in companies.

This applied training promotes the assimilation of theoretical content and prepares you to work in an architectural firm, an engineering firm, consultancies, developers, real estate companies, construction companies, in public administration or to set up your own business.

In addition to specific skills and abilities, the CFGS in Building Projects at La Salle Gràcia enhances essential capabilities and soft skills for technical teams in the architecture and engineering sector, such as organization, time management, responsibility, teamwork and decision-making.

At La Salle Gràcia we are committed to an inclusive and global educational project, which is why the international dimension is an essential part of our training cycles. CGFS students and, of course, students of the higher degree in architecture have the opportunity to participate in international mobility programs such as Erasmus+ and do professional internships in companies and educational centers in other European countries.

This experience is enriching on a professional and personal level, since it is an opportunity to learn new methods and ways of working, participate in international projects related to the sector and promote the development of skills such as autonomy, adaptability and teamwork in a multicultural environment.

Learning languages ​​during training, especially professional English applied to the specialty sector, is one of the most relevant modules of our programs. Participation in international projects is an opportunity to improve language skills in a real work context.

This international experience becomes an added value to our students’ curriculum and further increases job opportunities both nationally and internationally in a degree with an employability rate of 91%.

Students of the CFGS in Building Projects particularly value the practical nature of the program, the use of technical tools linked to the sector and the possibility of applying the knowledge acquired in projects close to professional reality. Students highlight the importance of working with technical documentation, plans, measurements, budgets and digital representation and modeling tools, as it allows them to better understand how the building sector works.

One of the most valued aspects is the connection between classroom training and the tasks carried out in architectural, engineering, construction companies or technical offices. During the cycle, students can develop practical projects related to graphic representation, BIM modeling, the interpretation of regulations, the preparation of project documentation and technical support in building processes.

Professional internships are also a very prominent part of the training experience. They allow students to learn about the day-to-day life of the sector, gain confidence in the use of professional tools, understand the work dynamics of technical teams and establish their first contacts with companies and professionals in the field of construction.

Open Enrollment

The enrollment process is divided into 2 phases:

Once the reservation transfer is received, you will get an email confirming your spot. If all spots are already taken, we will notify you as soon as possible to place you on the waiting list.

2. OFFICIAL REGISTRATION

To complete the registration process, you must fill in the registration form and have the following documents ready:

• Student’s ID card (DNI).
• Individual Health Card (TSI).
• ID card of the bank account holder.
• Properly signed SEPA order.

Admission Requirements (no minimum grade)

To be eligible for a Higher-Level Vocational Training program, candidates must have completed one of the following academic pathways:

• Baccalaureate Diploma (LOGSE, LOE, or COU).
• Higher Technician Diploma from any other Higher-Level Vocational Training program.
• Technical Specialist Diploma (former FP2) in any specialization.
• Intermediate Vocational Training Diploma (consult with us regarding compatibility).
• Entrance exam for Higher-Level Vocational Training.
• University entrance exam for students over 25 years old.
• Any other official higher-level qualification.
• Access to Higher-Level Vocational Training via specific test.

Access to higher education courses through the Higher-Level entrance exam

If accessing a vocational training program through the Higher-Level entrance exam, the certificate must indicate which vocational program you can access. You may only register for programs listed in the certificate.

If you passed the entrance exam for a particular Higher-Level Vocational Training program but wish to pursue another, you must take the specific subject tests corresponding to the desired program.

If you obtained an exemption from the specific section of the entrance exam, you could only enroll in the vocational program for which you received the exemption. To enroll in another program, you must request another specific-subject exemption from the Department of Education, provided you can demonstrate professional experience.

If you have obtained a diploma from another Intermediate Vocational Training program (check compatibility with the center).

Access to Vocational Programs via the university entrance exam for candidates over 25

If you access vocational programs through the university entrance exam for candidates over 25 years old, you must present a certificate proving you’ve passed this exam. Certificates showing only completion of certain university subjects are not valid.

If you are studying the vocational program at another institution

Keep in mind you can simultaneously study a vocational training program both on-site and remotely, provided you don’t enroll in the same credits/modules at both institutions.

If you are already enrolled in the vocational training program at another institution, you must also submit the documents proving your eligibility (degree or entrance exam certificate). Optionally, you can also submit a certificate with final grades to incorporate completed credits/modules into your record. Grade reports or evaluation notes are not valid.

Foreign Qualifications

If you obtained an official qualification abroad, you must request the corresponding validation. You will find all necessary information on the Department of Education website.

You may only enroll in a vocational training program if you provide a provisional registration receipt (volant d’inscripció condicional), which must be valid, and commit to communicating the resolution as soon as you receive it from the Department of Education.

No diploma will be issued without recognition of the qualification granting access to the vocational program.

Scholarships and funding

At La Salle Gràcia we are committed to inclusive and accessible training and our students can apply for different scholarships and grants to study professional training with us. In addition to the annual call for MEC scholarships from the Ministry of Education, Professional Training and Sports for post-compulsory studies, our students can choose the payment method that best suits their needs.

If you decide to do your internship in companies abroad, you can also apply for Erasmus+ scholarships to cover accommodation and living costs during your stay in another country.
