Superior Technician in Early Childhood Education (Published in RD 1394/2007, of October 29, which establishes the title of Superior Technician in Early Childhood Education).

Are you passionate about the world of education, the development of children and want to be part of their growth as a professional? Do you want to be a specialist in early childhood education or an educator or support educator for teachers? Would you like to develop specific programs for children at social risk or family support services and resources?
In the Early Childhood Education training cycle, you will learn about different pedagogies and methodologies where the child is the protagonist of their development and learning in order to accompany them with respect. At the same time, you will train as a professional in the educational world, both in formal education and in your free time. You will be able to work as an educator/tutor in kindergartens and pre-schools and 3-year-old support schools, to toy libraries, summer camps, family spaces, boarding houses, libraries and other services within the educational world.
Guess what? If you study this cycle with us, you have the possibility to do DUAL internships in kindergartens and schools carefully selected/chosen according to their pedagogical line. These centers are committed to a respectful, safe and trusting educational approach towards children and their families. And you, you will be able to learn first hand. In addition, if you are one of the people selected to do DUAL, the training center will register you with social security and you will receive a fixed financial remuneration, established by the Department of Education.
In addition, you will also obtain the title of Leisure Monitor from the Pere Tarrés Foundation, the Approved Certificate of Basic Life Support, given by the Intensive Medicine Service of the Vall d’Hebron Hospital, and complementary training granted by the University of Granada.
| Intervention with families and attention to children at social risk | Faced with possible situations of abuse, the role of educators is to contribute to the detection and notification of cases. In addition, through this module, you will learn which are the entities that ensure compliance with children’s rights and will provide you with tools for appropriate intervention with children and their families. |
| Didactics of early childhood education | You will learn about different pedagogical methods, which are the updated educational regulations dictated by the different administrations. You will also learn to plan resources such as spaces, time, materials to be used in the different proposals and activities. |
| Personal autonomy and children’s health | Children are active subjects of their development and your role as educators will be to accompany and guide them in their personal and social growth. In the next module you will learn what the basic needs of children are and how the youngest acquire habits in relation to their personal autonomy. |
| Children’s play and its methodology | Through play, children get to know the world around them and it comprehensively favors all areas of development (psychomotor, social, intellectual, affective, cognitive…). Through this module you will obtain the necessary knowledge to be able to design, plan, implement and evaluate educational projects and programs for children, as well as activities based on play. |
| Expression and communication | Through practical activities such as plays, cantatas or the realization of artistic creations, you will learn how art can be worked with children. In addition, you will learn that we can not only communicate through language, but that there are multiple ways to do so. |
| Cognitive and motor development | At what age do children start to walk? And to talk? How can we identify possible difficulties in children’s development? To be able to do a good educational task, it is necessary to know what the stages of child development are and thanks to this module, you will be able to answer all these questions and make your professional practice more effective. |
| Socio-affective development | This module brings us closer to knowing how the affective, social, moral and sexual development of girls and boys from 0 to 6 years old occurs. We will deal with key issues such as child sexual abuse, addiction to screens, bullying, limits, self-esteem, among others, from a critical and reflective perspective based on debates and dynamics. |
| Social abilities | This module will help you identify and improve your social competence through dynamics and role playing. |
| First aid | What would you do if a child were hit? What if he chokes? What is the protocol to follow? From the first aid module you will work on all the protocols and maneuvers to follow in cases that require immediate medical attention. |

| Own Module: Teacher well-being: Mental and emotional health | Teacher well-being is a fundamental pillar for our professional work. In this module you will do introspective and self-improvement work, connecting with calmness and obtaining resources to cope with our day-to-day life. Take care of ourselves to take care with quality. |
| Catalan: Pedagogical readings | Based on different readings, we will get to know different pedagogical references and their historical contribution to the world of education. We will hold round tables, debates, analysis of readings and essays in order to deepen the subject. |

The enrollment process is divided into 2 phases:
1. PLACE RESERVATION
To secure your place, you must make a transfer of €75 to the following account:

indicating the student’s first name, surname(s), and the program they are enrolling in.
Once the reservation transfer is received, you will get an email confirming your spot. If all spots are already taken, we will notify you as soon as possible to place you on the waiting list.
2. OFFICIAL REGISTRATION
To complete the registration process, you must fill in the registration form and have the following documents ready:
Admission Requirements (no minimum grade)
To be eligible for a Higher-Level Vocational Training program, candidates must have completed one of the following academic pathways:
If accessing a vocational training program through the Higher-Level entrance exam, the certificate must indicate which vocational program you can access. You may only register for programs listed in the certificate.
If you passed the entrance exam for a particular Higher-Level Vocational Training program but wish to pursue another, you must take the specific subject tests corresponding to the desired program.
If you obtained an exemption from the specific section of the entrance exam, you could only enroll in the vocational program for which you received the exemption. To enroll in another program, you must request another specific-subject exemption from the Department of Education, provided you can demonstrate professional experience.
If you have obtained a diploma from another Intermediate Vocational Training program (check compatibility with the center).
If you access vocational programs through the university entrance exam for candidates over 25 years old, you must present a certificate proving you’ve passed this exam. Certificates showing only completion of certain university subjects are not valid.
Keep in mind you can simultaneously study a vocational training program both on-site and remotely, provided you don’t enroll in the same credits/modules at both institutions.
If you are already enrolled in the vocational training program at another institution, you must also submit the documents proving your eligibility (degree or entrance exam certificate). Optionally, you can also submit a certificate with final grades to incorporate completed credits/modules into your record. Grade reports or evaluation notes are not valid.
If you obtained an official qualification abroad, you must request the corresponding validation. You will find all necessary information on the Department of Education website.
You may only enroll in a vocational training program if you provide a provisional registration receipt (volant d’inscripció condicional), which must be valid, and commit to communicating the resolution as soon as you receive it from the Department of Education.
No diploma will be issued without recognition of the qualification granting access to the vocational program.
