The Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle in International Trade at La Salle Gràcia, in Barcelona, is a program focused on the international trade and logistics sector. With this program, you will learn the tools, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform positions and roles in import and export, plan and manage international freight transport, and analyze and direct commercial operations in global markets.
This training offers a wide variety of career opportunities. Some of the jobs you can pursue include: foreign trade technician, import and export operations manager, international transport technician, logistics manager, international marketing technician, freight transport manager, as well as positions in purchasing, distribution, or sales departments.
The International Trade program at La Salle Gràcia takes place in Barcelona, a strategic city for commerce and logistics. This environment allows our students to complete internships in companies directly related to their field of study and complement the theoretical information from the classroom with on-the-job training where they have the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice and learn from active professionals with extensive experience in international trade.
Upon completion of the training program, you will receive the title of Senior Technician in International Trade. This is an official qualification issued by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport.

The educational methodology of the Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle in International Trade is based on active learning methodologies. The Learning by Doing model reinforces the assimilation of content through projects and practical activities, simulations, role-playing, and group exercises. A significant portion of the classes are practical, allowing you to apply the theoretical knowledge from the different subjects within the module.
In this Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle in International Trade, the content of each subject is applied to practical situations and case studies from the first term of the course. This educational methodology allows our students to go beyond memorizing theory by applying their knowledge in areas such as logistics, marketing, financial planning, and regulations, among others.

Students in the Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle in International Trade have access to various resources to facilitate their learning, professional development, and personal growth.
The center’s classrooms and spaces are equipped with resources for group activities and dynamics. We provide our students with specialized tools for business management, logistics, and transportation, enabling them to work with current software and systems used in companies within the sector.
Language training, especially in English, is fundamental to this program. Specialized English proficiency in the business field is developed through activities that promote the acquisition of professional vocabulary, negotiation and conversation skills, and both written and oral comprehension for the workplace.
In addition to English as their first foreign language, students can study a second foreign language. In the Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle in International Trade, our students can study French as part of the degree’s elective modules.
As part of the La Salle Network, present in more than 80 countries worldwide, our students can participate in international mobility programs. Students in the Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle in International Trade, and in our other vocational training programs, can complete internships abroad through the Erasmus+ program, gaining experience in different markets and strengthening their language skills in other languages—a key aspect of international trade.
Most of our students recommend the program and highlight aspects such as the educational materials and resources, the comprehensive training, and the internships in companies as an opportunity to gain professional experience and learn about the sector’s working world before finishing their studies.
The practical nature of the program is one of the aspects most valued by students. During their training in the Higher Level Vocational Training Cycle in International Trade, they have the opportunity to participate in initiatives such as the “Forma’t al Port” program at the Port of Barcelona, through which they learn about maritime transport terminals, attend conferences by shipping agents and freight forwarders, and work on real logistics projects.
The Saló de l’Ocupació (Employment Fair) is another of the most interesting activities for students. This professional event connects professionals with companies and is an opportunity to network, receive advice from active professionals in the sector, participate in practical workshops, and conduct interviews and access job opportunities.

Once the reservation transfer is received, you will get an email confirming your spot. If all spots are already taken, we will notify you as soon as possible to place you on the waiting list.
2. OFFICIAL REGISTRATION
To complete the registration process, you must fill in the registration form and have the following documents ready:
Admission Requirements (no minimum grade)
To be eligible for a Higher-Level Vocational Training program, candidates must have completed one of the following academic pathways:
If accessing a vocational training program through the Higher-Level entrance exam, the certificate must indicate which vocational program you can access. You may only register for programs listed in the certificate.
If you passed the entrance exam for a particular Higher-Level Vocational Training program but wish to pursue another, you must take the specific subject tests corresponding to the desired program.
If you obtained an exemption from the specific section of the entrance exam, you could only enroll in the vocational program for which you received the exemption. To enroll in another program, you must request another specific-subject exemption from the Department of Education, provided you can demonstrate professional experience.
If you have obtained a diploma from another Intermediate Vocational Training program (check compatibility with the center).
If you access vocational programs through the university entrance exam for candidates over 25 years old, you must present a certificate proving you’ve passed this exam. Certificates showing only completion of certain university subjects are not valid.
Keep in mind you can simultaneously study a vocational training program both on-site and remotely, provided you don’t enroll in the same credits/modules at both institutions.
If you are already enrolled in the vocational training program at another institution, you must also submit the documents proving your eligibility (degree or entrance exam certificate). Optionally, you can also submit a certificate with final grades to incorporate completed credits/modules into your record. Grade reports or evaluation notes are not valid.
If you obtained an official qualification abroad, you must request the corresponding validation. You will find all necessary information on the Department of Education website.
You may only enroll in a vocational training program if you provide a provisional registration receipt (volant d’inscripció condicional), which must be valid, and commit to communicating the resolution as soon as you receive it from the Department of Education.
No diploma will be issued without recognition of the qualification granting access to the vocational program.
Students at La Salle Gràcia can apply for the MEC Scholarships for post-compulsory studies, which are offered annually, and choose from different payment options the one that best suits their needs.
