Service learning is an educational proposal that combines learning processes and service to the community in a single well-articulated project in which the participants are trained while working on real needs of the environment with the aim of improving it .
The APS project is carried out in the 4th year of secondary school and has a workload of one hour per week in which the students participate by carrying out different learning projects and service to the community. This service can be intended for other stages of the school as well as neighboring entities in the neighborhood.
