At Escola La Salle Gràcia we believe that the study of music is very important in the training of our students as it provides an important cultural background and is a discipline that allows us to develop our sensitivity, as well as other aspects that will help in training the child: motor skills, diction, memory, attention and concentration; logical thinking, socialization, coordination, tolerance, self-control, etc.
Music contributes effectively to the intellectual, affective, interpersonal, psychomotor, physical and neurological development of the child, promoting learning in other areas, such as language or mathematics.
- LICEU: We have designed our Musical Education project (language and instrument) with the collaboration of the Liceu Theatre with the specialist teaching staff of our school, in order to offer our students during school hours (additional hours) opportunity to deepen this knowledge.
To promote learning, we work in small groups that promote individualized attention, offering five different instruments: clarinet, sax, trumpet, trombone and bombardier. - The collaboration with the Liceu will allow our students to prepare and take the official musical language and instrument exams.
The Primary music project finds continuity in the form of diversification of the curricular subject of Music in 1st and 2nd ESO, also adding Theater as a guiding thread of artistic education in ESO, linked to other subjects, and to DESTÍ project specific to the stage, the FAIG project.
